Tell me where to work 1L summer...
I don't have a particular burning passion for a certain area of law, I just want to work somewhere that I can actually do meaningful work, mainly to have something to talk about in an interview. I've applied to the judges that are still hiring and the firms that take 1Ls, so I want to know where else I should apply. Besides firm jobs and clerkships, where do people get the most solid experience? I don't have a way at this point of finding out what kind of work I'd be doing, and I don't want to wait until an interview to figure that out. I should add a) I'm not interested in Prosecution/PD and b) I'm top third (3.5-6ish) at UCLA
