Background: Bottom 50% at a lower T-14, struck out at OCI, pretty much given up at this point...
I mass mailed a mid size plaintiff side securities litigation firm in my home market in October, spoke with two partners my parents are friends with (both said they really liked me/would recommend me) only to be told that their SA class was full and to contact them again in January. Emailed one of the partners and he agreed to meet me for lunch over break.
Made the mistake of telling my career counselor, and she raised my hopes...apparently, plaintiff's side need can wax and wane pretty dramatically, and this particular firm has recently filed several major complaints....
Does anyone know if this is true? Does plaintiffs side experience a shift in demand for lawyers? Even if this is true, I'd sort of expect the attorneys to account for that in SA class size...
I know it's a looooooong shot at this point. I just don't want to be disappointed again. :'(
