You probably won't hear back until well after the new year. Probably by March because they take about two months to do the background check and they usually like to start the program in late May.

I applied for about a half dozen DOJ volunteer intern positions. One told me they're selecting interns in the next 3-5 weeks, but total silence from the rest.

I received an offer already from one of the offices that is still accepting apps for a few more weeks. I don't want to give too much away because it's one of the offices that selects less than 5 interns, but I know they haven't selected anyone else yet either.

I think it really depends on the office. Many USAOs are already done, but I think at Main Justice there are still offices that are early in the process. The only reply of any sort I've gotten was from CivApp which is probably the most "prestigious" (as far as that goes for 1L summer jobs) of the DoJ jobs and traditionally hires very early anyway (it was a ding).

Had an interview with main Justice two weeks ago and am waiting to hear back.
