Do firms care if you don't get published on journal?
2L with Biglaw offer for the summer. Just had a falling out with my EIC, who said my note might not get published. It's a secondary journal and I'm interested in corporate law, but nevertheless do firms ever ask/care about that stuff?
Any and all comments would be appreciated.

Pretty sure every SA without a published note has gotten no-offered/cold offered

You won't get no offered but you can kiss your partnership chances goodbye. Go look on any firm site. The firm bios heavily highlight publications.

Considering op has already responded positively to the jokes by (surprise) treating them as jokes, I don't think there's any need for you to act indignant on his/her behalf.bwv812 wrote:Is it so difficult for people to simply answer questions, no matter how dumb you think they are, without making condescending little jokes? And after the first joke has been made, do you really need to make the same joke over and over again? I don't get it. But maybe it does explain why fewer people are completing the OCI survey, etc.

But bmv doesn't have his OCI surveys! Now he's never going to now if the top 10%er at the T32 got offers at his V7 and V9 callbackshichvichwoh wrote:Considering op has already responded positively to the jokes by (surprise) treating them as jokes, I don't think there's any need for you to act indignant on his/her behalf.bwv812 wrote:Is it so difficult for people to simply answer questions, no matter how dumb you think they are, without making condescending little jokes?
