CFPB Summer Internships
Anyone else apply? I know that they have had several postings (policy assistants, pathways legal interns, etc.) that have closed at different dates, but has anyone heard any news? This is definitely near the top of my summer job hopes.

I applied as well. As of December 2nd my status says "Referred" so I'm hoping that's good news. If anyone has more info on the hiring process for them I'd love to hear it.

Also applied and was "referred" around December 2nd. I'm fairly certain it's a good thing as the note on the CFPB application status page says something along the lines of "You are among the best qualified." Also, n.b., I applied for their DC and NY offices. If I hear anything else (and I am REALLY hoping that I do), I'll be sure to share.

So that's three of us who see the same thing. I'll just say that makes me skeptical it means anything good.Anonymous User wrote:Also applied and was "referred" around December 2nd. I think referred just means our application wasn't auto-dinged for botching the instructions or indicating that we are felons or undocumented workers. Hooray for us!

Another for referred status I'm hoping that it means something good but generally these things are a black hole. I would greatly appreciate if others would keep this up to date with happenings

Just mentioned in another thread that they seem to be giving interview offers separately depending on the division.

Pretty sure that's for the Honors Program, not the internship program.Anonymous User wrote:Just mentioned in another thread that they seem to be giving interview offers separately depending on the division.

Re: CFPB Summer Internships
OP here. I was referred as well. I previously worked in the OGC as a summer intern, but my process back then was pretty different so IDK what to expect now. Hopefully we get some positive movement here soon.

Oh that's my bad. I am the poster in the 2014 Honors thread. I thought for some reason that the thread had morphed into 2L summer employment as well. The interviews I know were at specific divisions in CFPB for 2L summer.Anonymous User wrote:Link? I'm one of the above 'referred' people. Interview requested somewhat recently. Even if you still haven't heard yet, keep hope alive!

Would anyone who's interviewed with the CFPB recently mind chatting with me about the interview process? Much appreciated!

Re: CFPB Summer Internships
Incredibly straightforward interviews. No curve balls. No extensive knowledge of Dodd-Frank or anything required. Just normal "why CFPB?" and "how was your *insert summer job here*" questions.tigermug wrote:Would anyone who's interviewed with the CFPB recently mind chatting with me about the interview process? I was just asked to come in for an interview. Much appreciated!

Re: CFPB Summer Internships
For those whom CFPB ultimately selected, how long after being asked to complete an OF 306 did it take for an offer to be extended? Or, did anyone get a rejection after filling it out?

Has anyone been offered a position after completing the OF 306?
