Exit options out of second tier biglaw in NYC
I have offers at NYC firms that are NLJ 250, but not in the V100. I also have offers at smaller regional firms outside of the NLJ 250. If I want to maximize exit options (lateraling to other firms, in-house), should I automatically pick the NY firms that are NLJ 250 over the smaller regional firms? I'd imagine I'd be given more substantive experiences earlier at the smaller firms, but I have also been told that prestige/starting in NYC matters.
