NEW: Forum for Law School Graduates Only
As requested, TLS will now open a forum that can only be viewed or used by law school graduates (and TLS moderators). To gain access to this forum, users must provide proof of law school graduation.
For verification of your law degree please email forumadmin at with the word "Verification" and your username in the subject, and attach two pictures from different angles each containing your diploma and a scrap of paper with your username written on it. You can black out your real name on the photos if you prefer. Users with little or no TLS posting history might sometimes require further validation.
If you don't receive a reply to your verification email within one full business day then please send a private message to forumadmin mentioning that you haven't received a reply yet.

Re: NEW: Forum for Law School Graduates Only
Because I'm a rebel/counter-culture icon/bohemian revolutionary, and because I actually don't have my diploma (have I mentioned how much contempt I have for law school? It's rolled up in a box somewhere in my parents house hundreds of miles away), I ignored your verification requirements and sent an email that should still pretty conclusively identify me as a lawyer.

Yeah I also don't know where my law degree is. I guess I will just print out my unofficial transcript where it says "degree conferred"?

I still haven't sent school an email with the address of where to send my diploma. I should probably do that at some point.

I'm mostly ashamed that the mods get to see how my diploma is displayed: taped to a mirror and unframed, despite having had it for over four months.

I've had mine 2 years and it's still rolled up in a plastic sleeve.MSPeast wrote:I'm mostly ashamed that the mods get to see how my diploma is displayed: taped to a mirror and unframed, despite having had it for over four months.

What's the point? Can't we just mock 0L's in the regular forums?

Would I be correct in assuming that anything submitted for the purpose of validation will be kept confidential and that the identity of the user will not be made public to anyone other than the person running the accreditation? And also, who is checking IDs at the door?

Yes, it will all be kept confidential. The person currently checking is the forum administrator.reasonable_man wrote:Would I be correct in assuming that anything submitted for the purpose of validation will be kept confidential and that the identity of the user will not be made public to anyone other than the person running the accreditation?
