Banking Regulators Attorney Honors 2013 : OCC, FRB & FDIC

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Sep 21, 2013 8:07 pm

Has anyone heard anything from the Attorney Honors Programs of the following: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve Board, or the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation?

Can people post stats and update as needed to help future users as well.

When/where did they start recruiting? I was interested in FDIC but haven't seen anything.

I know that the OCC and FRB have done screeners at some job-fairs. I haven't heard anything about the FDIC.

Does anyone know, is their hiring on a rolling basis. So, if a banking organization has a September 15 deadline (example), is the September 14 application treated equally with the September 1?

Generally, everyone is equal.

I interviewed with FRB during the school's OCI.
But do they have an official honors program? It does not look like it on their website, and I do not really remember what their attorney told me. This was in mid-August. I had a mistake on my writing sample, so if there is an option, I would consider re-sending application.

Thanks - I'm a 2L and had heard/read it was for 3Ls, but I wanted to double check that I wasn't missing anything. I'll now bow out of the thread and wish you all luck!

I know it is awfully early, but does government send rejections to people that interviewed with them at OCI, or just never respond.

how did you apply to FRB, and has the deadline passed? I applied to the other bank regulators, but didn't know FRB had an attorney honors program

I believe they only interviewed at select job fairs and don't have a formal honors program because their entry-level attorneys primarily come from their summer intern program.

I hope that helps.

Interviewed with FRB and OCC at OCI; also applied to FDIC and CFPB. So I will be watching this thread closely and will share with the rest of you if I hear anything. Any movement out there now that it's October? Anyone care to wildly speculate as to how the govt shutdown and upcoming debt ceiling fiasco will affect govt employment?

iirc, OCC is not funded by congress... as such, i believe they are insulated from the shutdown. i do not know the specifics and i could be wrong.

Neither is FDIC I think, but I might be wrong. I barely pay attention to my 7:50AM Banking Law class. Damn you NU!!
