I have to assume this largely comes down to if you want NY or Chicago...

No city preference. My husband's family is in Illinois and I'm from near New York. Just trying to get a sense of relative prestige.

My impression is that Shearman is more internationally focused? Didn't do that much research though.

The same money goes a lot farther in Chicago and Shearman isn't going to get you anywhere you couldn't have gotten from MB.
