Re: Proskauer LA
I went to the reception over summer and met two corporate partners (and have had additional conversations with them following the reception via email and phone), one had lateraled from Skadden LA and the other from Cravath. They were definitely down to earth, and explained that the corporate work in the LA office was a huge rainmaker for the entire firm. It would be easy for me to say that I thought they were (insert rude comment here) because I didn't get a callback, but they genuinely seemed more laid back than most partners I've met. I would have enjoyed working in the same office as them, even though I was primarily interested in lit.

It's run by a dude who came from Skadden (I think?) and it's run like Skadden. The office is a big money maker but also a sweatshop that sheds junior associates like crazy because they can't deal with the hours or the temperament of the people. Depends on the experience you want.
