Re: Shearman NY
I worked there this past summer. I chose it over many higher ranked Vault firms and am happy I did. Great work and GREAT people.

Re: Shearman NY
I'm weighing the firm with some other similarly ranked firms. I LOVED the people and I loved the practice areas. I'm at a loss, but I think it's a great place from what I've seen. Only thing I didn't like was the office wasn't as nice as the others of its stature.

Agree. OTOH, most associates get their own office by their second year.Anonymous User wrote:Only thing I didn't like was the office wasn't as nice as the others of its stature.

Re: Shearman NY
to OP: I started the previously linked thread - I would reach out to Yolocontendre and people within the firm. So far they have been more than willing to fill me in and I feel much more informed about my decision.
Also, if you would like to talk I am also considering Shearman and would appreciate getting another candidate's perspective.

also very interested in this, apart from the less than exciting offices, the people I met at Shearman were all nice, but also seemed much more just collegial and cordial, not super friendly. was that just my experience? is it worth a second look?
