Had great experiences at both firms; may have connected a little more with Cahill.
I don't see myself leaving NYC for a while and I'm looking to do this long-term.
I found an old thread that covered this exact comparison, but I was just looking to see if there was any updated information out there.

JD seems like the better place to start as a litigator; the training is supposedly fantastic there, and I didn't get that sense when dealing with Cahill. I think of Cahill as a finance/cap markets shop first. Jones Day also gives you a better opportunity to transfer offices if you end up wanting to leave NYC. I know you said you didn't, and I'm the same way, but you never know.

wow guys...the results here are the complete opposite from 3 years ago:

I am officially confused and have to make a decision in the very near future...would voters and anyone else mind posting some reasoning as to why they think JD over Cahill?
Cahill has the never-ending free market system going for them, and generally awesome financial compensation. I'm worried, though, that the lit practice won't give me the cutting edge and wide array of work I could find at a place like JD.
JD has the non-lockstep merit-based compensation system and a world-wide presence.
I'm starting to lean JD...am I getting lost in the prestige of the name?
