Re: cadwalader charlotte
I've had callbacks at peer Charlotte firms. They are all extremely focused on ties and why you want to be on Charlotte. I would honestly say without family ties you had better have an amazing, detailed, and convincing explanation of why you want to be in Charlotte.Anonymous User wrote:does anyone have any insight on cadwalader charlotte? i've used the search function but most of the discussion pertains to the NY office. Any idea if the culture is significantly different than the NY office?
also, does anyone know how important ties are for the charlotte office? anyone know the cb/offer ratio?

Listen, you can come up with a good reason. It's a banking hub. Your fiancée has a job there. Something. All I'm saying is that you need to have an answer to this question.Anonymous User wrote:i have a cb and zero ties, and it is very obvious from my resume that i have no ties. Am i just spinning my wheels by going on this cb? im wondering why would they give me a cb and waste time/money on hotel/flight if ties are so important, are they just assuming that i have ties because no one would be stupid enough to apply without ties?

How far away are you from Charlotte? Is it like a cross-country trip? I would think someone from the east coast stands a better chance.

Had a CB last Thursday (8/29)--nothing yet. As of this Monday I heard they would be meeting this week to make decisions; beyond that, they didn't say when offers would go out. Has anyone else heard anything?

It went well; I really enjoyed all of the interviewers. It's definitely a more conservative firm but to be expected I think... I'm sure you'll get to see when you go. Best of luck!Anonymous User wrote:i have a cb with them next week. How did your cb go? what'd you think of the firm?
