SA offer letter says salary TBD, expected to be competitive

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Aug 29, 2013 11:09 pm

Is this common? Does this mean they don't pay market? How can I make a decision if I don't know what they're going to pay me?!

I assume you've checked and they don't list a summer salary on NALP?

That's more than my offer letter says. My letter doesn't mention salary or benefits at all, and basically just says that the offer is contingent on a background check, etc, and has to be accepted within 28 days.

Is it a firm you can trust to pay market? Maybe they're just covering themselves in case market changes.

My letter (last summer) stated a minimum amount weekly but gave no commitments otherwise.
