How often do you not hear back from screener, 3 weeks later Forum

I am just curious if some firms, NEVER get back to you,or at least wait several weeks to reject you. Of those that you havnt heard back from for weeks, any of those ever CB's?

Just heard back from a firm today that I interviewed with the first week of August. They offered a CB. You never know, dude.

FWIW, I'm not in one of the big NY/Chi/LA markets.

You often don't get your ding until late Sept or Oct.

While on this topic, is it bad form to ask when you should expect to hear back at the end of a screener?

Stand up, handshake(s), "it was a pleasure meeting you, when should I expect to hear back"? Or do it when they ask at the end if you have any questions. Conversely, is it bad to not ask if I'm worried about coming off too awkward in asking?

The former.

When they ask if you have any Qs at the end that's more like a chance to ask some good Qs to show you read up and know what you're talkin about and not an idiot

+1 Had this experience too. Some dings were brutally fast (like the next week - ouch!), and some weren't until November.

And I've had the multiple rejections from the same firm, all of them spelling my name wrong...in different ways. It's like they really made an effort.

varies immensely. had at least two IIRC within 24 hours. Had one outright tell me they wouldn't be sending anything out for at least two weeks. (secondary office of a national firm, though)
