Call Back Mechanics
Does anyone know how firms handle callbacks from a general numbers standpoint? I've got a callback on Tuesday and I'm just curious if I'm competing against 1000 people or 100 for the 30 or so SA slots. Are firms more selective at screeners or callbacks?

Re: Call Back Mechanics
You've got about a 40% chance of turning a CB into an offer. It varies firm by firm, but even at extreme firms its still over 20%.ejlions84 wrote:Does anyone know how firms handle callbacks from a general numbers standpoint? Firms will give probably 3-4X as many offers as they have SA spots because people turn them down.

2 firms that I had CBs with in the V50-75 range in So Cal stated they were "calling back" roughly 6 candidates per spot available. It basically makes CBs feel not that special and is quite annoying....but that's what 2 independent recruiters told me.

Yeah they may give offers to 2 or 3 for each spot available, so that actually makes senseAnonymous User wrote:2 firms that I had CBs with in the V50-75 range in So Cal stated they were "calling back" roughly 6 candidates per spot available. They may have to give even 4-5 depending on what happens.rad lulz wrote:Yeah they may give offers to 2 or 3 for each spot available, so that actually makes senseAnonymous User wrote:2 firms that I had CBs with in the V50-75 range in So Cal stated they were "calling back" roughly 6 candidates per spot available. Totally depends on the market if you want to get into a what's the percentage of call backs that will lead to offers guessing game. NALP has stats on this based on the market, I think.ejlions84 wrote:Does anyone know how firms handle callbacks from a general numbers standpoint?
