is there any particular dress code for meeting with a partner at his office for just an informational meeting?

Depends on the legal market and the partner. I have a partner who explicitly told me not to wear a suit. I wore business casual to most of my meetings (in the office and coffee) and no one gave me any weird look.

So wear a suit unless otherwise told not to. Or unless it's with someone at QE, I guess.Depends on the legal market and the partner. I have a partner who explicitly told me not to wear a suit.
