Mass Mail or Wait FOr Journal? Forum

So I talked to career services Monday and they said to hold off on mas mailing because journal results were being released "shortly"

It is now Friday and I still don't have the results, should I hold off and continue waiting or get my applications out ASAP and update them later?

I'd e-mail/call career services and ask again. If you don't get anything helpful out of them, I'd give it until the weekend's over. At my school, LR and journal invites are made via phone from the various EICs who, presumably, have jobs. Thus, evenings and weekends make sense.

Different poster - what if journal results won't come out until late July/early August? Should I just start mass mailing, saying that journal results won't come out for another few weeks? Or wait?

I'm also still waiting to hear back what journal before I start mass mailing. My current plan is to wait about another week (probably until next Wednesday/Thursday) and then start mass mailing if there's no indication I'll find out my journal very soon.
