Gonna venture a guess and say it probably depends on what school you're from

Within the T14, which range of schools you go to would matter a lot...

When someone says T14 I immediately just assume they mean DCNG.anonymous2012 wrote:Within the T14, which range of schools you go to would matter a lot...

Email these duders:
G-Town
Duke
Cornell & Northwestern don't have alum in the Denver office.
Also, from at Leopard List:

Granted LL is after 3 yrs of grades, but it gives you an idea of what they want.

Unsure what grades are absolutely required - I think everyone was top 10%, but I'm not positive - but the office really likes ties to the West. I think everyone in my summer class (a few years back) either went to school in CO, grew up in the Rocky Mountain west, or had a spouse from Colorado.
I will say, it's an awesome office and a terrific place to work. I loved my time there.

Re: Gibson Dunn (Denver) GPA range?
Was a summer here, had to take a job elsewhere for personal reasons. I was top 5%ish at a CCN. My guesstimate of the cutoffs based on anecdotal evidence is: HYSCCN-Top half, but preferably top 1/3. T14-Top 1/3. CU-Top 5-10%. DU-Top 5%. This is one of the best and hardest to get jobs in the whole country. Great people, great firm, great city, great pay. Realize that these cutoffs are only to be considered. If they hire 3 summers in a given year (not counting 1L/diversity summers and I realize it varies) and there are people with high grades at better schools who are better interviewers, you may be out of luck. This is entirely plausible given that there is probably a decent # of T14 people w Western ties who want to return to Denver and this is the most desirable place to work. It's far easier to get a job at somewhere like S&C or Skadden in NYC -- or other Gibson offices -- than to get hired here.
