Hello, I will be working for an asset management company this upcoming summer. I have no background experience in finance whatsoever. What books would you guys recommend for a legal intern at one of these companies?

If you know someone at Georgetown, try to get Professor Barbash's materials.... they are second to none.

This is a very broad question. If you're talking textbooks, Bodie et al., Investments is a seminal text concerned with portfolio management. It might be too advanced without reading an introduction to finance first.
For some financial nonfiction, which can be both informative and entertaining, you might consider Lewis, Liar's Poker (which is about the bond trading desk at a large securities house), Lowenstein, When Genius Failed (which is about the collapse of a major hedge fund), and Helyar & Burrough, Barbarians at the Gate (which is about a dramtic private equity deal).

OP, can you PM me? I'd love to get a job combining my finance background with my legal education and I'm interested in how you obtained the position.
