Effect of administrative grading error on OCI?
So, basically my 1L ConLaw class was a shit-show this year (if anyone would like to know details, they are pretty hilarious), and to make a very long story short, the school decided to make the course Pass/Fail on a credit/no credit basis only. It was a relief, but I am worried about the effect this will have on OCI, if any (and I hope none of course). Assuming I passed, the Registrar will be attaching a letter to explain there was an administrative error making grading impossible for the course.
If anyone has any insight, I'd really appreciate it. Sorry this was anon by the way, this is an extremely rare occurrence and I guarantee at least one person in my section will see this haha

Seen something similar. No one will care. And your CSO will likely prepare a letter for employers that explains the P/F grade.

Re: Effect of administrative grading error on OCI?
Something similar happened to a class at my school, and anecdotally, it seemed like they didn't have any different employment outcomes from anyone else. Seems to me like if all your other stats are good, you shouldn't be at a disadvantage (assuming you passed). Maybe ask your OCS how to handle it if someone brings it up, but it may not come up at all.

Details: Bad professor, weird exam format, some loud voices send emails and yell in a meeting, admin. crumples to complaints, and screws over the half of the class that actually studied and took the time to learn Conlaw all semester.

^^ Damn I must say that was quicker than I thought, props.. I was frustrated with the time I put in too, but it would have been arbitrarily graded, not rewarding the efforts of studying to the extent it should haveAnonymous User wrote:Details: Bad professor, weird exam format, some loud voices send emails and yell in a meeting, admin. crumples to complaints, and screws over the half of the class that actually studied and took the time to learn Conlaw all semester.
