Only working part of 1L summer
Is is bad to have a gap in my 1L summer employment? I am working 6 weeks for a firm, and want to do six weeks doing PI, but I am having trouble finding a PI group in my target area that has anything less than 10 weeks. However, one I am interested offered a 2 week program in August that I'm considering. That plus my SA would take up 8 weeks out of 12 of my summer but leave July pretty much empty. Bad idea?

First, nice humblebrag about the 1L SA position. Take the SA position, and the 2 week. No one cares about the dates. Resume should look like this:
