Court of Common Pleas v. County District Attorney
Hey everyone, I am a 1L looking for some advice for this summer. I am still under consideration for some SA positions, but with the low likelihood of success I want to have a solid backup plan. I am from a small town and have good connections with attorneys in the DA office as well as some of the judges on the state's court of common pleas. I have been in contact with them and if my other options fall through I have been told I could work as an unpaid clerk. I have no interest in ever working for the DA after law school and my goal is to eventually work in a traditional law firm setting. I know federal judicial clerkships are very prestigious, but I am not too sure how valuable a state court clerkship is. Any suggestions?

It's 1L summer work. As long as its legal, you're fine.
And it's not a fucking clerkship, it's an internship.
