Rejections only in mail and email?
Do firms ever give out callbacks or offers through mail or email or can we assume that if we find a letter in the mailbox and in the email, that it is 100% rejection.

I've gotten a callback (once) by snail mail. And every other callback has been through email.Anonymous User wrote:Do firms ever give out callbacks or offers through mail or email or can we assume that if we find a letter in the mailbox and in the email, that it is 100% rejection.

All of my dings came from snail mail, all callbacks came from phone calls (or phone calls + emails).

I have received a snail mail callback and a fellow student had a phone call rejection. It varies.

While some posters have mentioned that it varies (and it does), the above is what you expect. And I believe nearly 100% of offers come via phone calls; I have never heard of someone getting an offer through e-mail or snail mail.shock259 wrote:All of my dings came from snail mail, all callbacks came from phone calls (or phone calls + emails).

I think I got only one callback by email, everything else was by phone (email was sent on the same day as the screener). All offers were by phone. All dings were by snail mail.

You did acknowledge that it varies, but I just want to put out there that I have never gotten a phone call, not even once. Every single callback or offer came by email.lawyerwannabe wrote:While some posters have mentioned that it varies (and it does), the above is what you expect.
