I'm trying to decide between two offers (paid small local firm & DOD/DHS/VA) and other employers I'm waiting to hear from. OCS tells us there is absolutely no preference for 1L summer, as long as it's legal work, but I'm looking to talk to someone with experience and an opinion on the matter.
T1, ~top 25%. Please PM me to discuss. The deadlines for both offers are this week.

They're right. Take the firm. $, plus they might actually like you enough to hire you after grad.

Take the ampersand and run.
If it's minimum wage type scratch, and you know you're more interested in the gov't work, that wouldn't necessarily be WRONG... but if it's a firm you could see yourself at and a decent wage, ampersands all the way.
