Interview request immediately after app submission

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Feb 02, 2013 3:49 am

I'm a 1L applying for one available 1L diversity SA position at a V100 firm. The firm emailed me an interview request just 2 business days after I submitted my application. Does this usually signal high interest from the firm, or does it just mean that the firm is simply interview-happy? How many interviews do firms usually make if they have one 1L position? Am I stupid to get my hopes up?

I would assume you just happened to apply 2 days before the person who called you had free time. But I wouldn't take it as a bad sign.

Probably a very good sign. Do you have top grades at T-14?

^most likely. Once your ap gets reviewed a decision will be made, it's not like they spend a long time thinking about marginal candidates.
