Do you think that doing a lot of interviews, especially non-judicial internship interviews, as a 1L is a good way to prep for 2L OCI interviews? I'm doing a whole bunch of interviews right now, and I'm hoping that this will all help me work out any flaws in my interviewing skills.
Anybody here gain a lot of positive experience from doing a lot of 1L summer job interviews?

Yes, I would think so. Like most anything, the more interviews you do the better you get at it. But keep in mind at some point you are getting vastly diminished returns. Most law firm interviews are very similar and are fairly softball. So after a few you should be set.Anonymous User wrote:Do you think that doing a lot of interviews, especially non-judicial internship interviews, as a 1L is a good way to prep for 2L OCI interviews? Will help some, but don't count on getting a whole lot of constructive feedback. You might feel better about it, but it doesn't mean you will easily fix your problems. You really need to do some practice interviews with people who are willing to give real feedback to get better.Anonymous User wrote:Do you think that doing a lot of interviews, especially non-judicial internship interviews, as a 1L is a good way to prep for 2L OCI interviews? If you have an opportunity, imo the best way to get better at interviewing is to interview people yourself. Not sure what opportunities you would get to do this as a 1L (clubs maybe?) but it really helped me understand how different things came across to the person on the other side of the table.
