I've been offered a paid ($20 hourly) position at a small law firm. I've been pre-selected for OCIs at my school, but the offer will expire before OCIs are over. I like the small firm, but would probably be sad if I passed up on a potential OCI offer.
Is a bird in hand really worth two in the bush? Should I just accept and decline my OCI invites?
Note: I'm top 20% 1L at a T2 law school.

Have you asked the small firm to extend the offer period? It may be a good idea if you can do so tactfully -- the firm may be willing to keep the offer open.

Take it unless your a URM your not getting a better offer from OCI, firms do OCI to get their name out

1L OCI is pretty much a joke. Take the money and be happy.

Obviously this is not literally true, since people from every school get 1L SAs every year, but yes they interview at least 10 people for every offer they make, and probably more like 20. Given your class rank I would happily take the $.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I've been offered a paid ($20 hourly) position at a small law firm.
