Follow up email for internship with updated resume

Post by HiiPower2015 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:43 pm

i am a 1L doing my summer internship hunt. I know there have been previous threads on here about follow up emails, but i am in a slightly different situation. I have had to apply for a few internship positions before my final GPA was known. Career services told me to put the GPA I currently had, noting I was missing one class, and to say in my cover letter I would send an updated copy. Well i finally found out my last grade, and my class rank and am very happy and hope that will help my internship chances. I want to send the employers I applied some sort of a follow up email, including my updated resume. How should i go about wording this? I am horrible at emailing and calling in the professional setting and really don't want to mess this up.

You literally just need to tell them that this is an updated copy of your transcript and resume, and ask them to please attach it to your file. It's pretty common for 1L's to need to update their files.
