NEED help with 1L summer employment.
Hey guys, I'm in the dark with my 1L summer gig. Ultimately, I'd like to practice employment law (with a large firm), so what should I do for my 1L summer? I know people say it doesn't matter much for 1Ls, but can I work somewhere like the legal aid? 1L seems to be for exploration, yet I'm afraid employers might be like "hmm, you've shown interest in random, different places." Where do people interested in employment usually work?

ultimately, just be able to spin whatever you do into a valuable asset come interview time. If it's private sector, that should be easy. If it's public interest, focus on the writing and research elements. Go find a job you will enjoy and start spinning.Anonymous User wrote:Hey guys, I'm in the dark with my 1L summer gig. But yeah, part of the professional world (any business world, actually) is being able to sell yourself. Sell yourself.
