Forgot to change year to 2013 in some cover letters (1L)
Hi, I've been sending out job applications ever since winter break has started. Unfortunately, when December turned to January, I changed the month and days, but totally forgot to change the year. So about half of my cover letters were sent with "January X, 2012" on them.
How big of a problem will this be?

No one cares. Just fix the date from now on.

I did the exact same thing last year during my 1L job search. I got the job and it was never mentioned. If I had to guess, it will go unnoticed 9 out of 10 times.

Not a problem. I did this once before and no one noticed. Don't sweat.Anonymous User wrote:Hi, I've been sending out job applications ever since winter break has started. I also did this in a few cover letters my 1L year, and one of them turned into my summer job. Don't worry about it.
