Seeking guide to in-house 2L Summer Internships
I'm a 2L at a T-14 who pretty much struck out at OCI. Now trying to hustle an in-house internship, or a compliance internship. Does anybody who has had success with this have some structured tips or guidelines? One friend suggested that I look up all the in-house people of fortune 1000 on LinkedIn and then message them. However, I'm looking at the linkedIn premium plans and they're all pretty expensive, and even the best one only allows you 25 messages a month.

If In house positions do not participate in OCI, most will not hire until Spring.
Here are some good links for in house jobs:
http://lawstudentjobs.net/ (Keep a lookout around March especially, I received many in house interviews beginning around Spring break)
If you are near Chicago, I also recommend applying for this. http://www.acc.com/chapters/chic/Intern ... amInfo.cfm
Keep in mind, most in house positions do not lead to full time employment offers.

Not sure on the MetLife gig, but in spring is when they start most of the apps for internship programs.
