Not on resume, but misspelled law firm name throughout mass mail cover letter. They didn't like that. Ding in 45 mins. Oops.

I always wondered about the misspelled names. Don't you guys just coy and paste it from their website? That's what I usually do. Copy and paste without the formatting.

I definitely sent some mass mails with the completely wrong firm name in the cover letter just because I was sending so many.

Re: Most common/worst typos you've seen or committed on job apps
Sent off a mass mailer and the email only said "Dear Ms.," epic failure. Ding in a few days, but heard from others the firm was just not doing any formal SA program, so felt a little less fail.

"Pubic Interest" instead of "Public Interest".

I did this for a firm as well. Still got a screener, CB, and an offer though.
Working there this summer.

I spelled Pennsylvania wrong (twice) on my resume. It was after like 20 interviews before an interviewer pointed that out to me. I wanted to kill myself at that moment.

Manger instead of manager. I've seen this on lots of resumes when I'm trying to hire and it leads me to conclude that the person submitting the resume is lying about their position.

One that I've seen on a resume:
"Activities: x, y, z, Asian Law Students Ass."

HIPPA instead of HIPAA - I even saw this on the homepage of a company specializing in handling restricted medical information (i.e. covered by HIPAA)

Re: Most common/worst typos you've seen or committed on job apps
I once applied for a 1L summer internship where my cover letter was addressed to the building. Sounds pretty stupid when you say it like that, but the app said apply to:
Lana Shale
Criminal Justice Center
123 Street City, State Zip
So apparently a letter to Ms. Shale was not credited.

I put 2011 as the date on a cover letter in January of 2012. I also located the Pentagon (work experience) in Washington D.C. instead of in Arlington VA. No one mentioned the mistakes.

I had a phone interview scheduled for noon. Was sitting by my phone waiting... waiting... waiting... And received an email from the interviewer asking for my phone number b/c the one on my resume was wrong.

On one of my job descriptions on my resume I only put one word. I think all I put was "Responsible" instead of "responsible for blah blah".

My favorite was calling the recruiter Ms. when he was really a Mr. Not only did I do that in the cover letter, but I also did it in the email that I sent him 1) with the application and 2) with a follow up.
I never got a response good or bad. Maybe there is still a chance!

I misspelled the name of the company I worked for on my resume.
