Chadbourne & Parke: Summer to Permanent Offer Rate?
Anyone know what Chadbourne's usual offer rate? I think I read somewhere that it's not at 100%...

This is only for last year's data, but I think it should help answer your question:
http://www.nalpdirectory.com/employer_p ... urne%22%7D
Under "Additional Hiring Questions". 16 of the 17 summer associates were given permanent offers.

Somewhat relatedly (sorry the other thread died), has anyone heard back (ding or offer) from the NYC or DC office?

I don't really know any specifics about this firm, but Above The Law tries to keep track of offer rates

I know anecdotally that they have a "your job to lose" mentality for SA's ... they very rarely no-offer, and it's usually for some egregious slip-up.

Excellent. Anyone know if they ask/refer to 2L grades?

Your school's OCS will have past print editions of the NALP guide. You can find them in there. They really aren't useful more than a year or so back though.

Re: Chadbourne & Parke: Summer to Permanent Offer Rate?
Heads up: Cooley Lands Chadbourne & Parke’s Top IP & Litigation Partners (LinkRemoved).
Also see Chambers Associate for more info. For 2011, I notice the 17 offers / 17 acceptances stat. Comparing with the NALP hiring grid, it looks like 100% of the summers intend to return as associates. Not sure why Chambers seems to include that 1L with the 2L offers/acceptances. HTH.

Re: Chadbourne & Parke: Summer to Permanent Offer Rate?
Prior to establishing the New York office, Herbert Smith announced last month the recruitment of 6 leading US commercial litigation partners from Chadbourne & Parke LLP to its partnership. Today the firm confirms the additional recruitment of 3 counsel, 8 litigation associates and 4 other fee-earners also from Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
