Prospects at Midsize Firms
Is it true that it is nearly impossible (<10%) to make partner at a biglaw firm, and that it is much easier (~33%) to make partner at a small to midsize firm (5-20 attorneys)?

Chances at biglaw are probably closer to 1%.Anonymous User wrote:Is it true that it is nearly impossible (<10%) to make partner at a biglaw firm, and that it is much easier (~33%) to make partner at a small to midsize firm (5-20 attorneys)?
Small and midlaw will vary so drastically that it is almost impossible to quantify without sounding foolish.
(And 20 attorneys is not midlaw, because if it was, what's 100 attorneys? It certainly ain't biglaw.)
