Wilmer, Cov or A&P? (DC)
I am hoping to eventually make my way to government... somewhat interested in antitrust/litigation... even though it is ranked below wilmer and covington, would it be crazy to take a & p over those two?

They are peer firms. Choose whichever one you want.

If you are using Vault as this point, at this level, when you know what practice areas you are interested in, you lose

No, A&P is one of the top antitrust firms in the world and would provide more government connections in that area than Wilmer or Covington.Anonymous User wrote:I am hoping to eventually make my way to government... somewhat interested in antitrust/litigation... even though it is ranked below wilmer and covington, would it be crazy to take a & p over those two?
If you need a ranking to justify your choice:

The head of A&P's antitrust practice is the President's nominee to head up the antitrust division at DOJ.

Mind if I ask your approx school/gpa/ties? pretty sure I was rejected by all 3 post-CB and I'm wondering if it's my interviewing. Also, fwiw, I'd likely have gone with A&P!

I have a personal bias that favors A&P, but in reality all three are good for later transitions into government. With these firms in DC, I would base my decision on fit/culture.

This. I summered at A&P, but seriously considered Covington when I was making up my mind. Go with your gut and try and find the best personal fit.Anonymous User wrote:I have a personal bias that favors A&P, but in reality all three are good for later transitions into government. That being said, I loved A&P, and highly, highly recommend it as a firm.
