Impression is that Sidley and Proskauer are nice working places. Not sure about Shearman.

Sidley is reputed to have a really great working environment. A friend of a friend summered at Shearman last summer and they said they enjoyed it, they do a "realistic" summer program. Can't speak to Proskauer.
