Call firms and get feedback for you. Give you leads to firms that are looking for SA's from your school. Give you advice on places to look that you've been overlooking. Make resume/cover letter suggestions. Mock interviews to help you figure out what you're doing wrong on your CB's.Anonymous User wrote:besides maybe conduct a mock interview, what could career services do at this point?
Trust me one this one, they tend to be more helpful than most people think.

Besides going all out to keep after an SA (mass mail, etc), buddy up with professors who will go to bat for clerkship applicants, such as those on the clerkship committee if such a thing exists at your school. If add/drop is still going on at your school, get into one of their classes. Meet with them in office hours. Try to get a comment published. You have borderline stats for an A3 clerkship, and if you have profs making calls for you, you'll probably get interviews.

Wondering if you are at my lower T14. I was worried I was the only LR person who was going to strike out! SOLIDARITY!
I mean, mass mail like crazy!

OP here, thanks for the advice. I'll make an appointment tomorrow.
Haha, if I have to listen to another person agonize over whether they want to take their offer from Cravath, I'm going to scream. Good luck!Anonymous User wrote:Wondering if you are at my lower T14. I was worried I was the only LR person who was going to strike out! SOLIDARITY!

It's still early September. A coward dies many times before his death, but the valiant never tastes of death but once. Keep your head up and get your massmail on. You will never again in your career have as promising a window for job hunting as you have for the next month or so.

Stats are more than borderline for a clerkship. I have identical grades/LR at T30 and got 3 interviews at district courts.Wholigan wrote:Besides going all out to keep after an SA (mass mail, etc), buddy up with professors who will go to bat for clerkship applicants, such as those on the clerkship committee if such a thing exists at your school.
