NY Lit Poll (Gibson Dunn/Skadden/Weil)
Priorities are exit opportunities (plan is to lateral to private practice in a secondary market) and getting good responsibility early on. Fit is a wash, as I felt really comfortable at each firm. GDC's free market is appealing but don't really know to what extent this should affect my decision. Any wisdom?

Also... if you could explain your choice, that would be helpful.

GDC's litigation practice is really heavily tilted towards its West Coast offices, with the exception of its DC office. If you are interested at all in FCPA, or major international white-collar work, then Skadden is a no-brainer. And the Skadden name in NYC is much stronger than GDC's.

can anyone explain the love for GDC? i understand that it has a rep for being a good place to work, but i'm curious how true the "quality of life" bit is accurate for the NYC office.
