Re: Latham Chicago
Silence here. But I suppose silence for everyone is better than some people getting offers and some not.

I have a CB with them coming up soon, so maybe they're waiting until they're done with all the CBs before they make any decisions?

Re: Latham Chicago
Offer here some time ago after a short waiting period.
Any pros/cons about this office? How does LW Chicago compare to other offices? Do TLSers say avoid only because of layoffs during the recession, or is there more to the story? I understand that layoffs (and the term Lathamed) are a big deal.

I had a CB with them fairly early in the cycle and just received a snail mail ding yesterday.

So for all of us who haven't heard, are we just assuming dings? I realize Latham has a small class, but, as far as I can tell, there's only been one offer reported on TLS.

Re: Latham Chicago
No. IIRC, a poster in another thread was told the committee wanted to see how the CBs shake out before making a large number of offers.
People have gotten offers from great firms after 2+ weeks post-CB. You're not out until the ding shows up in your mail.

Unsubstantiated rumor from someone at another chi firm that Latham is having problems...(no idea how true this is and I am still considering them)

Rumor is that work has been very slow in a number of areas, people extremely worried about hitting billable hour requirements. This is not from someone who actually works at Latham.Anonymous User wrote:Interested in this. What kind of problems...?
