Here is what I have in mind:
Graduate from law school
Work for a law firm or hang a shingle
Serve as a reserve/NG JAG officer
Is this possible to just go straight to reserve/NG JAG with no prior military experience? How difficult is it to get a position as a JAG officer in the reserves/NG?
Is it possible to join JAG as a reservist or national guard? Forum

Not sure about how hard it is but of course you can join JAG in the reserves from law school. I knew many JAG reserve/NG officers who weren't prior service. A famous one is this guy.

It will depend on service. Army does allow direct commission into the JAG. Navy does not. Generally it is easier to get into the reserves than the active component but it does not mean that it is easy
