Strange V10 Rejection
Snail mail from the recruiter. Signed.
Clear rejection but at the end it said "We are not inviting you for further interviews at this time but we would be very interested in talking to you about your future plans next fall."
Could that be boilerplate? Got it right after interviewing, didn't really think about it much but curious about what people think.

likely for data purposes. They usually ask that when you reject their offer. Weird that you got it after a rejection but probably asked for the same reasons.

It's boilerplate. Many firms' form rejection letters say to keep them in mind for next year.

Sorry bro this was in my rejection latter too for the same firm. It doesn't mean anything special.

I thought every rejection letter said this?

Re: Strange V10 Rejection
Most of my higher ranked rejections were by email and not from the recruiter. They said things like "We're sure that with your impressive credentials you will go on to a long and rewarding legal career."Rhidan wrote:I thought every rejection letter said this?
I assume it was random odds that I didn't get more "We'd be interested in talking to you next year..." rejections. It's probably data collection, as an earlier poster said...
Not sure there's really any point to keeping this thread alive after this, though. Obviously, no one else had this question.

Re: Strange V10 Rejection
Pretty sure Cravath's screener rejections contained language essentially saying please apply after 3L. These things are pretty standard.

Most 1L summer SA inquiries get this, but since 3L oci is a flame, most 2L SA dings do not.Rhidan wrote:I thought every rejection letter said this?
