mass mailing small firms - is it too late?
So it seems that I've struck out of OCI and I am thinking about mass mailing smaller firms that don't recruit at my school (top 30), is it too late to do so? I am not talking about V100s that don't come to OCI just local firms that pay a descent salary.

might even be too early. unlike big firms, smaller firms usually can't project their hiring needs a year in advance.

I mass mailed small firms last year beginning in February. I sense that was a little late but now is definitely not too late.

i mass mailed some smaller/mid-sized firms last month...if anything it's too early. the only three responses i got told me to contact them again in a couple months if i was still interested.

For clarification, if you don't mind, what were the results of your mass mail in February of last year? It sounds like things worked out despite your feeling it was a little late.Anonymous User wrote:I mass mailed small firms last year beginning in February. Leadership Directories (Yellow Book). Your school should have a list of 20-50 lawyer firms in targeted cities. Also, your school's Simplicity "Employers" tab is a good place to search. If you Google carefully, you'll find a lot of city-specific lists from law schools without good IT security.Anonymous User wrote:thanks for the response guys!
