Maybe the New York numbers are inaccurate. It's not available on NALP. I know a few years ago they scaled everyone back for due to the hard economy, but in Chicago its definitely back up.

And this summer in Chicago there were 2 2L summer associates and 1 1L SA who split the summer in-house with a big client.

Just accepted an SA offer in NY. They told me that they were aiming for 2 SA's

just had my callback today, it was ridiculous... felt like they rushed me out like crazy. I'm afraid they're done hiring, or at the very least not seriously looking

145 starting, not lockstep after that. It's a merit based system which is fairly compressed from what I've heard
