Everyone wins. Other students get a position, the firm doesn't have to deliberate over another candidate, and if you're amicable about it, they'll probably respect you more.Anonymous User wrote:Weird, or considerate and appropriate?

Definitely let them know. They took the time to arrange for you to meet with X number of their attorneys, organized your trip, etc., least you can do is give them a call or send them an email to let them know you're off the market. They'll be grateful that you gave them a heads up before they spent even more time discussing your resume in committee and potentially turning down another good candidate in order to be able to offer you a spot

Thanks guys. I thought that was clearly right, but was getting some bad advice from real-life friends. Will go ahead and let them know tomorrow.
