Can someone clarify things a little bit? They just have one round of interviews? So no callback, just straight to the offer/rejection stage?

Re: Skadden HK
Had a friend interview on campus with a screener, attend a reception for CB invitees, and conduct a CB via Skype. YMMV, though.Anonymous User wrote:Can someone clarify things a little bit? They just have one round of interviews? So no callback, just straight to the offer/rejection stage?

Oh, you may be right. I was told that it was Skype when my friend was on the way to the office, but that does sound like a rinky dink operation. Pretty sure it was a video conference and "Skype" was used interchangeably for such, my bad.Anonymous User wrote:so you mean its a videoconference right...not a skype interview. skype is way too informal.

I did an international law firm interview via skype (not HK though). It didn't seem to be a problem.RJ127 wrote:Oh, you may be right. Re: Skadden HK
I had a pre-screened 15 mins phone interview with them...haven't heard anything from them yet. That means...no CB? are they gonna send out snail mail ding to me from HK? hope that won't take a full month to get here.

Re: Skadden HK
i think they already did all the callbacks. like most foreign offices of mega firms, they're not looking for a lot of people. you would probably have a better chance if you applied for Skadden NY

Re: Skadden HK
Sorry, I was wrong. It was actually done by Wednesday night. I don't know about all CBs. They may add people later on when they see fit. But the HK recruiter has flown back to HK from NYC.

I'm new here. Just thought I'd update y'all that I had my CB at the firm earlier this week and was told that I'd hear back on Friday. No word either way.
Let's keep this thread updated as it will help all of us reduce the anxiety of not knowing. If anyone gets an offer/rejection, please let everyone know.

I'm a 2L at NYU.Anonymous User wrote:what school did the above anon post go to? are you sure there are no other callbacks? who is going to call you (the NY office or HK office?) if it is HK office, i don't think they would call you on a Friday cuz thats a Sat. in HK right?
I'm not saying there are no other callbacks. I'm reporting what Mary Schultz told me on the night of my CB. She had specifically said that they (I assume Skadden HK since the CB is not for the NY office) would get back to "us" (there were three other interviewees there, so perhaps the four of us or perhaps all of the interviewees) on Friday. She didn't specify that it would Friday NY time or Friday HK time.
Hope this helps!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
