Re: STB callback/offer ratio
I have it on fairly reliable authority that it is required to be less than or equal to 50% this year. It's been quite a bit higher in the past.Anonymous User wrote:Any information on this is much appreciated!

Re: STB callback/offer ratio
In past years it has been like ~80%. Unless you got really weird at the callback, the offer was yours.

Wow. Are there many firms with such high offer ratios?RVP11 wrote:In past years it has been like ~80%. Unless you got really weird at the callback, the offer was yours.

Re: STB callback/offer ratio
I got an offer from STB on Sat.
When I was speaking with the hiring partner and asking questions about the summer program, i was told the class size would be about as big as last years. Not sure if they simply callbacked more people, but you can certainly count on the size of the class being comparable to 2012.

OP here. Does STB typically do spot offers? Dropped everything and scheduled my CB asap this week.

No, but expect a 2-3 day turnaround if you're going to get an offer.Anonymous User wrote:OP here. Does STB typically do spot offers? Dropped everything and scheduled my CB asap this week.

Re: STB callback/offer ratio
S&C gave me on on the spot offer. Cravath gave me a next day one, but hiring partner apologized on the phone and said they're trying to do on the spot offers too--but he was absent the day of the offer, and it was also a Saturday.
STB gave me an offer the next day.
