Brief okay?
For my writing sample, is a brief just as good as a memo?

If you think they are equally good, I usually gave out the brief if the firm was pretty lit focused (and I said that was my interest) or a memo if it was more corporate/trans. Didn't seem to matter.

Of course. Writing samples don't matter much at most firms anyway.
