Can any 4Ls going to work at PH tell me if they got a stipend or advance for bar study, and how much it was. Trying to do budgeting. Thanks!

Is the stipend something you have to pay back - I heard of someone getting an interest free loan from a firm.

$16,000 stipend (no requirement to pay it back, it's NOT a salary advance) with you being responsible for paying all bar costs (figure ~$4000 for BarBri/bar application fees), but it's still better than the majority of other firms. After taxes you end up pocketing around $10k, paid to you in the spring.
