Boies Schiller & Flexner Callback

Post by taf » Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:26 am

Anyone know what one of these is like? I mean, any info besides that it's about 5 attorneys, 3ish hours? How easy is it to get an offer once you get the CB?

i know someone who was an associate there and did interviews for them and he was under the impression all firms had a 100% offer rate after CBs. take that for what it's worth...

last year they offered 54.5% of callbacks from my school

so you should give 94.55% effort on your callback

If the 54.5% is real, which school?

I like that you've been there less than a month and have already mastered the dodgy response to dropping the H-Bomb.

I am not sure Boies gives enough callbacks for the math to work. Any more stats you can give?

Random fact about Boies DC: they extended me an offer WAY later in the game than any other firm. I had long since assumed I'd been dinged and just hadn't yet received the letter. Not sure I would've taken it anyway, but it was so late I'd already taken another offer. Point is, don't assume Boies works on the same kind of timeframe as other firms.

Did your CB invite also take longer to come?

Interviewed with them last week but no word either way yet. I'm not expecting an invite, but this gave me some (maybe false) hope.

Unfortunately, I don't remember their callback invite taking longer to come. Maybe it was a day or two longer than other firms, but not memorably late the way the offer was.

I interviewed with them last week as well. Have heard nothing since then either way.

I'm not sure how it works when they interview with multiple offices but you are likely subjected to the vagaries of the individual office you applied to. Some small offices don't have recruiting staff so it is handled by a single hiring partner (who likely rotates through that position so isn't too efficient with it) and that partner's assistant (who has a bunch of other matters that take precedence over determining CBs).

For those who have had afternoon NY CBs: how long do they run, and when do you usually get out?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
